How come my PlayStation 3 does not work with my new Sylvnia LC320SL1 32 inch flat screen HDTV?

by on October 3, 2010

Q: I have a PS3 and im attempting to hook it up to my brand new Sylvnia LC320SL1 32″ flat screen. HDMI cables do not work on ports 1-3. Video A/V cables do not work. The only port that recognizes the PlayStaion is the component port which only recognizes the sound input. No video on either. I tried scrolling through the source options and settings to include channel setup which lead to nothing as the menu options are very vague and insufficient. A friend that works in the television dept at Best Buy tried to work with it at my home and was unsuccessful. He suggested hooking the PS3 up to my living room TV (which is a Insignia NSL37Q10A) that has always worked and attempt to change the settings there. Any insight to this problem will be greatly appreciated thank you.

    * Make sure the system is off.
    * Hold down the Power Button for 5-6 seconds – until you hear the second beep.
    * That’s it, your video settings are reset and you should be able to choose your input and configure it from there.
