Q: Is the Cisco Linksys Wireless N Router and the TRENDnet Wireless N Express Card compatible to emachine computers and is the TRENDnet Wireless N Express Card compatible to a Dell laptop?

    Yes they should all be compatible. before you purchase the cards make sure that your system meets all of the minimum system requirements (processor, memory, and OS compatibility). Also make sure that you have the available slots in your computers.

    Yes, all wireless N routers and cards can talk to other wireless N equipment regardless of brand.

    Most wireless cards and routers are backwards compatible so they’ll work with older wireless G stuff too. You’ll be limited to the slower speeds but it will work.

    Now for the express card, the main requirement is that the computer you use it with has an express card slot. If the computer doesn’t have an express card slot, you can’t plug it in so it won’t work.

    Most recent laptops have express card slots, check the sides of your laptop for the slot and check your system specs as well.

    Desktop PCs don’t have express card slots.

    If you want a wireless card for a desktop PC, consider a PCI Card or USB version.
