Why do I get duplicate emails from my optononline email server?

Q: I am getting multiple copies of the same e-mails from my server optonline. I use Outlook 2010. This just started recently. How can i stop it from happening?

    My guess is that there is some kind of an issue with your mail server. You should call Optonline about the problem and they should be able to locate the issue.

    Cablevision, Optonline, was trying to help me when the following message poped up on the screen as soon as they remotely clicked on the Outlook icon. “CANNOT START MICROSOFT OUTLOOK. A PROGRAM ERROR OCCURED. QUIT OUTLOOK AND MICROSOFT WINDOWS AND STAT AGAIN. I never had that message before or after. After that message came up, the the tech told me that he couldn’t help me any further. I am now turning to you and will also trey my Dell Support. Nevertheless, if anyone has an idea, it would be apprciated. Mark.
