How do I figure out what kind of computer I have?
by bbron on November 6, 2010Q: I have a couple of questions first question is I bought computer from a company that had bought new computers the computer has no brand, serial number no kinda of description or no operating system. Is there a way to find that information w/o an operating system on it?

If the computers were home/custom built, there wouldn’t really be a band, just a collection of off the shelf parts.
To find out more about what kind of hardware is in the computer, I suggest you use an Ultimate Boot CD.

Follow the instructions on the website to create and use the boot disk. Once it is launched you use use the program in the ‘system’ menu to view system hardware information.
