How come I cannot connect my new laptop to my wireless network?

Q: I have a wireless Motorola router through Quest. I also have DSL through Quest. I have had an existing network set up for two existing computers and have just introduced a laptop that I want to get online.

The diagnosis for the connection problem is asking for a WEP Key which I have used two numbers that “I think” were the originals and the results are:

Cannot connect to network ‘bevan’
Wireless Network Adapter does not have appropriate IP Configuration

What do you suggest to get my lap top online with the existing net work?

    Open your adapter setting and choose ‘ obtain ip and dns address automatically’
