How come my laptop shows me the IBM startup screen after I dropped it?

Q: My laptop fell to the floor and now I shows the IBM start-up screen but after that it shows a black screen with a white line blinking in the left corner. Help please.

    Unfortunately there isn’t going to be a lot you can do, I suggest you take it to a local computer shop or two to get the damage assessed and see what your cost will be in getting it repaired.
