How do I transfer music onto my digital mp3 player?

Q: I recently received a digital mp3 player: I connected it by USB cable to my computer (PC) and it installed the driver software (not sure what this is? came in a balloon on the bottom right) but then when I selected it, it told me this message:

“Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (E)”

How do I make it work?
