How come my Windows Vista computer wants my password every 10 minutes of inactivity?
by michael harrington on July 2, 2011Q: i have vista home premium. it wants password every 10 minutes of non use. it didnt always do that, just password turning on or reboot. how do i reset so it wont ask every 10 minutes of non use

Right click on the desktop, select Personalize, select Screen Saver from the next screen. In the Screen Saver Settings windows that appears deselect the checkbox that says “On Resume, Display logon Screen”. This should fix it.
