What are good replacement speakers for my 4 year old Z-5500 computer speakers?

Q: So about 4 years ago I purchased my aging Z-5500 computer speaker system. After me blasting my music for 4 years, they are beginning to deteriorate in sound quality and whatnot. I’m wondering how far technology has come since I got these and what would be the next logical upgrade from what I have; I got the speakers for $200 and would like to spend around that for what I get next. That being said, I will use the speakers to hook up to my computer so I can use them for games and music, primarily music.

    There really hasn’t been any major advance in audio tech and Logitech still puts out nice products.

    Z-5500 speaker sets are still available, so you might want to keep an eye out for a deal.
