How come I get a popup window telling me Internet Explorer stopped working when I click on my assignments?

Q: I have a toshiba satellite L455D – S5976 I have a website for school called mcgraw-hills learn smart. Everytime i click on one of my assignments a window pops up telling me the internet explorer has stopped working. How can i do my assignments on my computer if this pops up?

    Try installing Google Chrome web browser to see if that accesses the website correctly: http://www.google.com/chrome
