How come my two computers cannot play in the same online game at the same time?

Q: Having trouble with gaming. Have two computers hardwired to cable modem. When trying to play online, unable for both computers/players to join remote players in same game. Both of our computers are able to play with the remote players but not at the same time.

    If you’re having this issue with Team Fortress 2, or another Source engine based game like Counter Strike:Sourse try the following:

    On your steam account right click Team fortress 2 hit Properties. Type in +clientport 27012 and hit OK. Now do the same with the other account but type in +clientport 27021.
