Can I get a VGA to RCA adaptor to connect my laptop to my older TV?
by jourdan02 on September 22, 2011Q: I have a old TV and a Toshiba laptop. I got a VGA cable which works for my computer but not on my TV can I get an adapter with the red yellow white cords?
with this adaptor and some regular rca cables you can connect your PC to your TV. There may be a few functionality issues as older vga cards are not designed for tvs.

Just so you know , your computer screen is going to look pretty terrible on a standard def TV. You’ll want to use a TV friendly interface such as Windows Media Center, Boxee or XBMC otherwise you won’t be able to read anything.
