Do they a portable scanner that is battery powered?
by bcannon on February 13, 2012Q: I am looking for a portable, battery operated device, that will scan someones ID (drivers license or possible other) and INSTANTLY send the scanned image/data to a remote webbased server.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

This company http://www.idscanner.com/ appears to have nice ID scanners that can save the card/card data to an application that they have called “IDWedge”.

I have seen that system. It is designed for age verification.
I need a system that will scan and send the data to a secure location for safe keeping.
This is to prevent the person who’s licensed was scanned from simply destroying the device to erase his data.
The data must be sent and stored in a secure location.
