Is there a way to make the cursor move to the next cell in Excel when using a barcode scanner?

Q: In Microsoft Excel, is there a way to get the cursor to automatically advance to the next active cell once a filed populates following a barcode scan? OR… Can a carriage return be added to the end of a barcode? For example, the barcode desired is 123, but a carriage return is needed to allow the cursor in Microsoft Excel to automatically advance to the next active cell.


Coupon barcodes are useless to a customers

Q: I want to create a coupon list by scanning the barcodes of the coupons that are issued in each Sunday paper. What hardware and software do I need to do this?

A: The UPC code on the coupons doesn’t actually have any data stored inside of it. A UPC or barcode is just a pictorial representation of a number that can easily be read by a scanner. The computer then turns the UPC or barcode into a number that it can use to look up information. The number itself is much like a social security number in that it is a unique number.
