I know .ts stands for transport streaming and that it’s simply a MPEG-2 kind of file. Q: I recently got a Lite-On EZ DUB DVD writer for my older Presario laptop running Windows XP. The laptop already has Roxio on it, but the new device comes with Nero 7 Essentials software. I am wondering if can have both installed at the same time without conflict?

A: That shouldn’t be a problem. Just don’t try to use them both at the same time. If you encounter problems after you’ve installed Nero 7 Essentials, uninstall it and install it again. Make sure you connect the DVD writer to your laptop first before you reinstall the Nero 7 Essentials software.
