Is it possible to add wireless weather resistant outdoor speakers to my stereo system?

by on July 30, 2010

Q: I have a Sony component system inside the house. I would like to add wireless weather resistant outdoor speakers so that I can listen to music outside as well. I would prefer the ability to have the music playing outside only, inside only, and inside and out at the same time. I would like to do this without drilling holes in the exterior concrete walls, and running wires from the outside to the inside. Please tell me if this is possible, and what I need to buy.

Cable kit for Logitech speakers

by on February 19, 2010

Q: Where can I find an audio cable kit for my Logitech z5300e speakers color coded orange, green, and black?

A: The nice thing about these speakers is that they just use regular 3.5mm male to male cables. The color coding from Logitech, and from most manufactures, is just to make it fool proof to connect the correct speakers to the correct spot on the system. You don’t want to connect your left speaker to the right speaker lot unless you want to hear thing wrong. Read the rest of this entry »

How come the speakers on my Toshiba Satellite laptop stopped working?

by on September 30, 2009

Q: I have had a Toshiba Satellite L505-S6959 for 2 months now. I recently downloaded Skype and installed it. Shortly after I noticed my laptop speakers did not work. I plugged in my headphones and got sound. I tried all my settings, drivers, restarting, uninstalling Skype completely and even doing 5 system restores (all of which failed). What’s wrong with my speakers?
